Dr. Benjamin Tehrani and Kings Point Foot & Ankle are honored to be hosting a team to walk at the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk.
The event takes place on Saturday, October 19 at 8 AM, and registration starts at 7 AM. The address is 200 Grand Ave, Grand Park, Downtown Los Angeles, and the walk starts at 200 N Spring St.
Along with other Making Strides events around the country, the Los Angeles Walkinvites people to come together, show support, have fun, and raise money and awareness for the American Cancer Society’s efforts to save lives from breast cancer.
The participants at each event show support and raise awareness for breast cancer by walking a noncompetitive 3 to 5 mile walk. Along with the walk, the events have a charitable component and invite people to donate and raise money that is used to fund innovative research, provide support, and help others reduce their risk of breast cancer or find it early when it’s most treatable. The Walks celebrate survivors and remember loved-ones lost.
Kings Point Foot & Ankle’s participation in the Los Angeles Walk is in remembrance of the incredible Nassrin Daghighian, Dr. Benjamin Tehrani’s brother-in-law’s mother, who recently lost her 15-year battle with Stage 4 cancer.
“Unfortunately, this year, we lost a loved one, my brother-in-law’s mother Nassrin Daghighian. She was an incredible woman who ran her own daycare center. She was deeply loved by her family and the Los Angeles community, and everyone was very impacted by her loss. As a show of respect and admiration for her and for the thousands of others that are currently fighting breast cancer, I’m sponsoring a team to walk at this year’s American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. Join me and the 10-15 thousand people that show up at this incredible event, wear pink, and show your support,” says Dr. Ben Tehrani.
If you’d like to be a part of the team, please sign up below to join us in the walk. We look forward to seeing you there!
